Lyrics
Some men are judged by the color of their skin
A few by their virtues, but most by their sins
Some men are classified by the jobs they do
From the bank president
To the one who shines shoes
And those who sit in judgement
Are allowed to hold the strings
They pull one and you die
They pull another and you sing
But I won't judge or classify you my friend
Behind the drama, we are all just men!
Some men are judged by the clothes they wear
The place of their birth or the color of their hair
Some men are classified by the things that they like
Most by what they hate, and a few by what they fight
And those who sit in judgement
Are allowed to make the rules
They change them as they please
Effecting honest men and fools
But I won't judge or classify you my friend
When it's all said and done, we are all just men!
Faith in yourself is all you need to feel alive
Avoid those who judge -
Let your conscious be your guide
Help each other keeping love as your drive
And your garden will survive
It will revive, yeah, it will thrive!
Some men are judged by the way they walk
By the cars they drive or the way that they talk
Some men are classified by mistakes they make
The things they own or the risks that they take
Those who sit in judgement
Imprison and impound
But they're nothin' more than bullies
Thinkin' they're profound
And I won't judge you, if you won't judge me
And one day, we'll all be judgement free
I say one day, we'll all be judgement free!
