Oh oh oh oh, Ah ah ah
Oh oh oh oh, Ah ah ah
I sail into darkness, far from distant dawn
Seeking lost adventure, a forgotten "Once apon…
“a time.” When inspiration still tillered the boat
But now it's such an effort to simply stay afloat
My heart yearns to open like a lotus in the sun
Spillin' love like pollen; are those years truly done?
I climb into the back seat and leave driving to higher selves
I've been dustin' off memories I found on my back shelf
Oh oh oh oh, Ah ah ah
Far off Chinese girlfriend swam calmly into wife
Way out past the horizon, I see a beacon of divine light
Alice says, “It's organic, the magic comes with time.”
But right now all I'm craving is a simple life that shines
When can I bee all that I can see
I wish I could see between the scenes
Oh oh oh oh, Ah ah ah
Oh oh oh oh, Ah ah ah
It's all the same yet different, how can I explain?
I chip away at the sadness lodged in layers that remain
Patients is a virtue, yeah but sometimes it's a curse
The scenes, they get harder, with no way to rehearse
They say, “Seek moderation,” Ah but baby where's the fun in that?
It's the eye of the hurricane, surfing life, where she's at
The peace of meditation, it slows the wheel down
It's life and life only, even if you drown!
Alice says I'm doin' fine. “Do it slow, baby, take your time!
“In the end, you will find the threshold of sublime!”
Let go, freefall. Your mind is your obstical
Be grateful for each little miracle, regardless how small
When can I be, all the best that I can be?
I wish I could see between the scenes
Oh oh oh oh, Ah ah ah
Oh oh oh oh, Ah ah ah
