Maya

I can still hear the echo of that dream in my head
All the weird stuff that I did, that I said
And it makes me wonder, who is it who dreams?
And how real the illusion sometimes seems!
Pitter-patter, chitter-chatter of stray thoughts stampeding wild
Learnin' to be still and quiet has taken awhile
I'm just starting to see, it's been a slow recovery
Breakin' through belief and obscurity
Everyone thinks they create reality,
But how are you so different from me?
All this energy locked in thoughts we think are true
We're trapped in the Maya, me and you
It starts with the people that you love tellin' you who you are
Your early interactions lead to many wounds and scars
All that samskara, you build up as you grow
Leads to hearts rock-hard and cold
A splinter in the eye of the divine
Makes us believe time is a line
But it's more like a circle, going round and round
Weaving both in and outward bound
Everyone thinks they create reality,
But how are you so different from me?
All this energy locked in thoughts we think are true
We're trapped in the Maya, me and you
Cause and effect are deceitful twins
Duality is the root of sins
And when we finally see that all is really one
The healing we have begun
Have ya ever seen a true glass lazer hologram?
Strode around the object, seen the entire panaram?
If you break a glass corner, and shine the laser through
The complete picture bursts into view
And we are like that broken piece of glass
We've the whole universe stached in our cache
When the light shines through us, and one looks with clear eyes
The truth erupts with no surprise!
Everyone thinks they create reality,
But how are you so different from me?
All this energy locked in thoughts we think are true
